Privacy Policy
This policy explains what customer information THREAD DISTRICT uses, why it is needed, how it moves through store workflows, and how customers can request help.
Use this page to understand how account, checkout, fulfilment, support, wishlist, review, newsletter, referral, and technical data is used across the storefront.
Information We Collect
THREAD DISTRICT collects the information needed to operate the storefront in Zimbabwe, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, account details, verification status, order history, selected products, delivery addresses, pickup details, support messages, and customer instructions.
The store may also process cart activity, wishlist item IDs, product reviews, newsletter signups, referral activity, order tracking inputs, admin order notes, fulfilment updates, courier or pickup references, and technical data needed to keep the storefront secure and reliable.
- Wishlist data may be stored in browser local storage and used to show saved products.
- Support tickets can include the subject, message, email, order number, and any details submitted through the contact page.
- Reviews, referrals, and newsletter records are used only for their related store workflows.
Payments and Checkout Data
Payment processing is handled through ZB Smile & Pay and any other payment providers enabled in checkout. THREAD DISTRICT receives the payment status, payment reference, method details, gateway result, and order-level records needed to confirm, reconcile, resume, refund, or troubleshoot a transaction.
THREAD DISTRICT does not ask customers to send full card credentials through WhatsApp, email, social media, or the contact form, and the storefront is not intended to store full card credentials. If payment appears to go through but the order remains pending, support may use the order ID, payment time, checkout email, and provider reference to investigate.
How We Use Store Data
Customer data is used to authenticate accounts, verify email addresses, process checkout, maintain carts and order records, manage delivery or pickup, issue pickup codes, track fulfilment, resolve support tickets, moderate reviews, operate referrals, send store emails, and prevent fraud or misuse.
We may use technical logs, account events, order notes, support history, stock records, and payment status changes to investigate failed payments, delivery problems, pickup disputes, suspected abuse, duplicate orders, fulfilment errors, or unauthorized activity.
- Order tracking uses submitted order details to locate the correct order record.
- Account order history and support replies help customers resolve order-specific issues.
- Referral credit and promotional activity may be reviewed before rewards are applied.
How Data Is Shared
We share only the minimum information required with service providers that help run the store, such as payment processing, hosting, storage, email, authentication, delivery, pickup coordination, analytics, and operational support tools. THREAD DISTRICT does not sell customer personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
Where delivery, pickup, payment, or support coordination is needed, only the information required to complete that operational step should be used in the relevant workflow. For example, a courier or pickup workflow may need a name, phone number, order reference, address, pickup time, or fulfilment note.
Retention, Security, and Storefront Tools
Order records, payment status history, fulfilment notes, refund or cancellation history, support messages, account events, referral records, review moderation records, and technical logs may be retained for operational, tax, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute-resolution purposes. Retention can vary based on the record type and the reason it is needed.
The storefront may use session cookies, authentication cookies, local storage, and similar browser tools to keep customers signed in, preserve cart or wishlist state, remember store preferences, support checkout security, and maintain account continuity. We use authentication controls, restricted service access, and operational logging to reduce unauthorized access risk.
- No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.
- Access should be limited to legitimate business, support, fulfilment, and admin use.
- Customers should keep account credentials private and contact support if they suspect account misuse.
Your Choices and Policy Updates
Customers can update certain profile details from the account area and can contact support for correction, clarification, account, order, or privacy-related requests. For sensitive requests, THREAD DISTRICT may ask for reasonable verification such as the account email, order ID, phone number, payment reference, or other details needed to confirm the request safely.
This privacy policy may be updated as the storefront, checkout flow, fulfilment methods, support tools, referrals, reviews, or legal obligations change. When that happens, the latest version published on this page becomes the active policy.
